The Streaming Platform is Producing a Popular Game TV Series from the Minds of the Alien Series and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

The latest Far Cry instalment that gamers explored was Far Cry 6, that showcased Giancarlo Esposito in the role of the antagonist, Antón, and came out back in October 6, 2021. Throughout the franchise, it is famous for celebrating action and madness with the same excitement, all while presenting engaging, socially charged tales. Little surprise that FX's recent announcement for a Far Cry anthology series brought on board two creators whose creations have embodied all of those qualities.

Show Details

Adapted from Ubisoft's successful video game series, the self-contained anthology series will be available on Hulu and is being made by FX Productions. The anthology will also parallel the video games' style by featuring a different location and ensemble in every instalment.

Creative Minds

Rob Mac, creator of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the talent behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will act as lead producers on the series under their production banners, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be partnered by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television.

“FX has had excellent collaborations with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a combined six series and 32 seasons of television, and we are thrilled that they are teaming up for Far Cry,” said Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a news release. “I have no doubt that they will deliver this story in a way that is original, gripping, and extremely entertaining. We also want to thank our associates at Ubisoft for entrusting us with this popular property.”

Cast and Future Plans

Mac will also feature in the show, but currently, we do not know what character that could be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was not long ago renewed for more episodes, with FX and Disney agreeing to a new comprehensive agreement with the producer.

“Getting to work together with Noah Hawley is a dream realized,” stated Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been exceptionally accommodating, entrusting us with one of the most renowned video-game worlds ever created. And through it all, my FX family continues to lift me up with their steady trust and support.”

“The aspect I admire about the Far Cry game series is that it’s an anthology program. Every title is a interpretation of a theme, the same way each season of Fargo is a version on a premise,” noted Hawley. “To develop a large-scale action show that can change from season to season, while always examining the core of society through this complex and unpredictable lens, is a dream come true. I’m eager to collaborate with Rob and introduce our common irreverent, visionary approach to the audience.”

A schedule for when we can anticipate the new Far Cry show has not been announced. The series will premiere on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus internationally.
